Sound characteristics
The cable is designed to preserve the shape and time accuracy of the digital signal as faithfully as possible. In practice, it brings more stable timing (lower jitter), cleaner background, better separation and focus, and more precise transient micro-details without colorations; the tonality is neutral.
Compatibility and application
Ideal for external Word Clock (eg Cybershaft, Mutec, Antelope, Esoteric) and DAC/transport with 75Ω BNC S/PDIF in/out. A length of 1.5 m is often recommended for S/PDIF due to the minimization of reflections. Not intended for 50Ω BNC devices. Also suitable for DDC/re-clockers and studio master clock systems.
Condition and maintenance
Used, excellent condition: no insulation damage, solid connectors, clean contacts. Passive component - no service history. Recommendation: avoid sharp bending, keep contacts clean (eg mild isopropyl treatment) and store in a dry environment.
